the father's age will be 5 times his son's age. What are the
present ages of the man and his son?

let the age of son be x

age of man will be 9x

after 4 years

age of son is x + 4

age of man will be 9x + 4

9x + 4 = 5 ( x+ 4 )

4x = 16

x = 4

therefore age of son is 4 years and that of man is 36 years
