Terrestrial locomotion has evolved as animals adapted from aquatic to terrestrial environments. Locomotion on land raises different problems than that in water, with reduced friction being replaced by the increased effects of gravity.

hope it helps...

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Are insects glued to one spot? Think of the mosquito which can land on anything with blood and get what they need. They can also walk around to look for a nice juicy conduit.

Spiders -- same story. They spin their webs and wait to see what hits the webs.

What about the octopus, which has 8 legs to propel him. Almost all insects have ways of moving around.
