What are zymogens? Give an examples
➪ Inactive precursor of enzymes are known as zymogens. They are also known as proenzyme.
For example:-
- Pepsinogen is the precursor of pepsin. Pepsinogen is inactive until it is released by chief cells into HCl. The latter partially activates pepsinogen.
