The coral reef ecosystem matters because they can be a source of medicine and food. There is almost 1,000,000,000 people that depend on coral reef for food so if you did not have the coral reef ecosystem there would be not as much medicine not as much food so it’s important to the ecosystem to have coral reefs so we can provide more.
