Y=3-x

in this format c = 0 so there's no intercept

Y=3x+c

The parallel line will have the same gradient but different intercept.

Now we substitute the coordinates(1,5) into the formula.

y = 5

x = 1

5=(3*1)+c

5=3+c

Now we make c the subject.

c=2

So the answer is:Y=3x+2
