Which Civil War general is being described below? This general was famous for his military philosophy.... "No terms except immediate and unconditional surrender." This philosophy brought him under severe criticism, however, when the large loss of human life under his command became apparent at the Battle of Shiloh. Thousands of soldiers died on both sides at Shiloh, and while some insisted he be removed from command, Lincoln was impressed with his skill and kept him on. At the end of the War, he represented the Union side at the Appomattox Courthouse negotiations.

Sherman
"Stonewall" Jackson
Grant
Lee
