The mean of 25 test scores was calculated as 81. But, it turned out that one of the scores was misread

as 72 but it was 97. What is the mean?

The correct answer is 82, because if you multiply 81 by 25 you get 2,025, you then subtract 72, add 97, and divide it all by 25
