In a 3-digit number, the hundreds is one more than the ones digit and tens digit is twice the hundred digit. If the the sum of the digits is 11, find the number.

Explanation:

Let u = the units digit

2(u + 1) = the tens digit

u + 1 = the hundreds digit

u + 2(u + 1) + u + 1 = 11

u + 2u + 2 + u + 1 = 11

4u + 3 = 11

4u = 8

u = 2 = ones digit

u + 1 = 3 = hundreds digit

2(u + 1) = 2(3) = 6

The number is 362
