make it into a full rectangle , which would mean the lengths are 21 mi and 6 mi . multiply length x width which in this case is 21x6=126 . then we have to subtract what we added . 2x8 = 16 . 126-16=110. So, the area of the rectangle is 110 mi. hoped it helped <3

First split the shape. You can split it where the 13 ends and the 8 starts.

Next, We know that Area = lw

Do, 13x6= 78

Next, Do, 8x4=32

Then add both areas to get:

78+32=110

So, Area = 110
