At the end of chapter VI, we get a description of
the night that Gatsby first kissed Daisy and
"forever wed his unutterable visions to her
perishable breath" (110). First, how can Nick
know enough about this moment to describe it?
Is he imagining it, or have we somehow shifted
to Gatsby's point of view? Second, is Gatsby's
love for Daisy true love? Why or why not?
