The length of a dog run is twice its width. Its area is 50 square yards.
Find the length and width of the dog run.

Length = 10 yards Width = 5 yards

Explanation:

2w x w = 50 yards²

2w² = 50 yards²

2w²/2 = 50 yards² / 2


\sqrt{w^(2) } =
\sqrt 25 yards^(2)

w = 5

Area = l x w

= 10 x 5 = 50

length = 2w

width = w

length = 2(5)

length = 10 yards
