def: discrimination is when you treat someone differently solely based on their race, age, or gender etc.
example: when a cop pulls over a white guy, they don’t usually assume threats, but when they pull over a black guy they automatically assume there’s a threat
def: human rights violation is when you’re denied a basic human right
example: the holocaust , Ugandas anti-gay bill
