Read these lines from Robert Frost’s "The Road Not Taken.”

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair

Which statement best describes these lines and why?

A: These lines are an example of a metaphor, because the entire poem is about two different wooded paths that exist in nature.
B: These lines are an example of a metaphor, because the author describes the trip he takes down the path he chooses.
C: These lines are an introduction to an extended metaphor, because they are introduced early in the poem and developed as the poem continues.
D: These lines are an example of an extended metaphor, because they are repeated at both the beginning and end of the poem.

Answer:

Probably C, because I don't see where it mentions much of the road but of him describing it.
