Hey clarification question is that a 10? Talking about where the x is located the screen shot got cut out a little bit. However, assuming that’s a 10, you would find the opposite side of x which is the one to your closet left where the 24 is. So you know opposite side is 24 now find adjacent side which just means the side where x is located at which is 12. Since your finding tangent the formula for that is opposite/adjacent. Therefore you will have 24/10simply that to me 12/5 by dividing each side by 2. Hope this helps! Remember though only if that is a 10 on the cut out part the answer is 12/5, however if it’s a different number you can clarify or just use the example I gave up above.
