Hey! My little sister is having trouble, and I'm not sure what to do. She tried asking our parents, but they didn't learn the way she's learning now, and neither did I. So here we are. Here's the question:

Find the area of a rectangle that has a length of 7 feet and a width of 4/5 feet

Answer:

area = length x width

so you do 7 x 4/5 = 5.6feet^2

(when you multiply fraction, you multiply top by top and bottom by bottom.

so it becomes (7x4)/5 = 28/5 = 5.6)

Hope that answers your question
