Carbon is the chemical backbone of life on Earth. Carbon compounds regulate the Earth's temperature, make up the food that sustains us, and provide energy that fuels our global economy. Most of Earth's carbon is stored in rocks and sediments. The rest is located in the ocean, atmosphere, and in living organisms.

Carbon is a macronutrient and is present in every part of the body. Carbon dioxide in blood plays an important role in the body as it helps in maintaining the pH of blood. Carbon is an essential element which has a lot of benefits for both industrial purposes and as the basic building block of the human body, without which, life is incomplete
