so modernism and the harlem renaissance were two literature movements during the same time period that differed greatly in different writing styles. The Harlem Renaissance consisted of racial pride, excellent rhythm, and a literary awakening.

also, the literary composers involved with modernism and the Harlem Renaissance arguably began each movement with the same intentions : to make specific social or personal statements that only readers who needed to or who had the capacity to would understand.
