A sewing class has 185 yards of fabric to make quilts. Each quilt requires 8 yards of fabric. How much fabric will remain after all the quilts are made?

If each quilt requires 8 yards of fabric and there’s 185 yards you can make 23 quilts and have 1 yard remaining.

23x8= 184
185-184=1
