Hey! My name is Rosita and I live in Cartagena, Colombia. I'm 16 years old and I'm in high school. All higher schools in Colombia have four different routes, from one year to five years of study: technical, technological, teaching and professional programs. Teaching and professional programs are the longest.

I study in the technical
program. I want to be a gardener. When you finish two years of the technical program, you can start working immediately without going to college. In careers you need to study more than in technical careers and you need to go to college. There are technical careers in the United States, but not in all schools. In the United States, after finishing technical or general careers, you can go to college for professional studies. Based on the text and what you learned in the lesson, what is a true statement regarding high schools in Colombia versus the United States?

Professional programs in Colombia are the shortest in length.
Professional programs in Colombia do not require further schooling.
