Do you think the violence of the French Revolution was justified

The initial violence was justified. The people were starving and had no other options. Overthrowing an oppressive government is a right that the people should always have.

However, some of the revolutionaries lost sight of their original goal. See Robespierre and the reign of terror. These actions were not as justified
