The mean temperature change is calculated by dividing the sum of the temperature changes by the number of trials. This questions say exclude the anomalous result which I assume is test 2, which gave a temperature change of 7.3. I will exclude this test. The mean will therefore be (9.5+9.2+9.5)/3 = 9.4. The mean temperature change is 9.4 C.
