False, the veins do not carry oxygenated blood (excluding pulmonary vein). The arteries carry oxygenated blood (excluding pulmonary artery).

Answer:

Most veins carry deoxygenated blood from tissues back to the heart ; exceptions are thw polmunary and umbilical veins,both of which carry oxygenated blood to the heart. It contrast to veins, arteries carry blood away from the heart.
