Tom had a very challenging fraction multiplication problem to do, but his sister said it was really easy to do mentally. Can you find the answer mentally? Explain how.

I think you have to multiply them both normally.

Answer: 80/81

When multiplying (76/81) * (80/76), the 76’s in the numerator and denominator cancel out, so you’re left with 80/81
