Think about the differences between, for example, historical fiction and a comic book. Why is it important to consider the genre of a literary work before judging it?

Also thank you so much for any help it's greatly appreciated! :)

Answer: historical fiction may be more serious and realistic for the sole purpose of trying to be somewhat historically accurate, for fictional literature at least. comic books, on the other hand, are written for entertainment purposes and should not be taken as seriously or realistically.

It is important to consider the genre of a literary work before judging it because it’ll help you understand the reality of these stories. With historical fiction, it isn’t a made up event, but rather the characters are made up. With comic books, nine times out of ten the characters and the stories are made up. Therefore, it is important to consider the genre of literary work because it’ll explain the reality of said story.

I hope that makes sense :]
