the formula for standard form is Ax+By=C
let’s pretend you have a equation in slope intercept form y= 2x+2

You need to get 2x to the other side, so you’ll subtract 2x
you’ll end up with this -2x+y=2

Now let’s say you have a equation like y= -2/5x+2

add 2/5x to the other side

you end up with 2/5x + y = 2

You’re not done. Standard form CANNOT have fractions. So what you’ll do is multiply by the denominator.

So y=-2/5x+y in standard form is 2x+5y=10
