I'm trying to understand what this means, I'm just not really familiar with this concept and the whole idea I mean I do kinda understand it but not all the way. if someone can explain and answer this, that could be awesome. I appreciate it, please, and thank you!

So lets go over this.

In a circle, the line that goes straight through the middle of the circle and touches both sides is called the diameter, or d.

The radius is r, which is half the diameter, and on a circle, goes from the very middle of the circle to the side of the circle.

C is the circumference of the circle.

The formula for the circumference, C is
\pi *2r\\, or
\pi *d.

In our situation here, d is equal to 11 inches.

So if we plug that in we get:

\pi * 11 = 34.54

So 34.54 = c, our circumference.
