The slant height, the height and the base radius forms a right triangle with the slant height being the hypotenuse of this triangle

By Pythagoras’ theorem, the square of the hypotenuse (slant height) equals the sum of the squares of the two other sides

6.5^2 = 2.5^2 + h^2

h^2 = 36

h = √36

h = 6 cm

So we have the volume as;

V = 1/3 * pi * r^2 * h

where r in this case is base radius of 2.5 cm

V = 1/3 * pi * 2.5^2 * 6 = 39.3 cm^3
