Dred Scott was a slave that sued his owner for his freedom. The case went to the
Supreme Court. In the Courts decision they said
Dred Scott is a free man
O slavery is only legal in slave states
slaves can sue thier owners in court
O a slave is property and the owner can take its property to any state even where slavery in not
allowed
