Lets start with the red shape.

The triangle on top is 5x3, and the equation for a triangle is base•height•1/2

So each triangle equals 7.5, as 15/2=7.5. Remember there are 2 triangles so the total of both triangles is 15.

The front side of the red shape is 6x5, which equals 30.

Same with the back.

The side though, is 3x6, which equals 18.

So 15 (both triangles)+60 (the front and back of the shape)+18 (the side)= 93

The red shape is 93 inches cubed.

The green shape is a rectangular prism.

The sides, are both 3x7, which equals 21. Remember there are 2 sides so together they equal 42.

The next part is 3x16= 48. There are 2 of these so it equals 96.

The top and bottom is 7x16=112, which is 224.

42 (sides) + 96 (front and back) + 224 (top and bottom)= 362

The green shape is 362 inches cubed.

362+93=455 inches cubed as a total
