Let's verify

  • Pressure=P
  • volume=V
  • Temperature=T

As per Boyles law


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow V\propto (1)/(P)

As per Charles law


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow V\propto T


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow T\propto (1)/(P)

So

At higher altitudes lower the pressure so lower the temperature
