PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

The bicarbonate buffer equation suggests that for every CO2 which reacts with water, we form one H+ and one HCO3-.However, after CO2 is added to the blood in systemic capillaries, I observe a lot more HCO3- in the plasma than H+. what happened to the H+ that was produced?​
