On every level of government, we separate the powers of government into three branches: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. Why do we do this?

oWe do this so that there is a seperation of powers. This means that one branch won't get more powerful than the other and they will keep each other in check. The checks and balances systems makes it so that each branch has to go through the other to do something, for example to make/pass a law.
