If the puppy is worth $250 dollars initially but gains 12% in price every year, that means the equation for its price is

250(1+0.12)^(t) where t is the number of years after the initial year

One year: $280

Two years: $313.60

Three years: $351.23

Four years: $393.38

Hope that helps!
