A bakery buys a large bag of sugar that has 34 cups. They use 10 cups to make some cookies. They use the rest of the bag to make 144 giant muffins. Their customers want to know how much sugar is in each muffin.

The computation of the customers that want to know the sugar in each muffin is shown below

Here we assume the sugar in each muffin be x

Now there is 30 cups and 10 cups should be used for making some cookies

And, the rest would be use for making 144 gaint muffins

So, the equation that should be used is

10 + 144x = 34

144x = 24

x = 1 ÷ 6

So there would be 1 ÷ 6 sugar in each month
