Why were Byzantine rulers unhappy with Charlemagne's coronation as Holy Roman Emperor?

I just looked it up but this is what I found:

both Christendom and the Roman Empire. The Byzantines responded in dismay, they didn't want him crowned, especially by the pope because the pope can't decide that! They were two byzantine brothers who created the language Cyrillic.
