Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X were both Civil Rights leaders. However, these men had different ideas and methods for achieving equality. Compare and contrast these two men. Include what they believed, their methods and how they advanced the Civil Rights movement. As always include examples to support your answer.

Short Summary: Both were civil rights leaders during the 1960s and 1950s. There main goals were to increase the rights given to minorities and to decrease discrimination. Malcom X took a more violent approach, as his Blank Panthers were often armed and sometimes described as black militias. Martin luther however took a peaceful non aggresive path, as shown through the boycotts and marches he partook in.

Answer: As they aged, both men adopted a global consciousness that linked them together ideologically. Their personal lives also mirrored each other. Not only did their fathers have much in common, but their wives did as well.
