Two points I picked are (-1, -2) and (0,0).

Now count how many points the numbers are far from each other up and down. So, starting from (-1,-2) to (0,0), the points are two points away from each other vertically (on the y-axis)

Now find how far they are on the x-axis

Once again I counted and they are 1 point away from each other horizontally.

Now you need to turn these two points into a fraction.

Slopes are rise/run or y/x

So:

The slope is 2/1.

Also, the slope is positive as the line ascends (goes up).

If the line were negative or going down, the slope would be negative, but the line is positive.

So, the answer is 2!
