When it comes to assassinating King Duncan, Macbeth can't make up his mind. Then he learns that if he assassinates King Duncan, Malcolm, his son, will inherit the throne. King Duncan announces, "Malcolm, the throne is yours!" Macbeth thinks in order for me to assume power, I must overcome or prevent this obstacle. Stars, turn away from the light.
