I know because I did the box method. So, I did 5x times 5x and got 25x^2. Then, I did 5x times 1 and got 5x. Next, I did -1 times 5x and got -5x. Next, I did -1 times 1 and got -1. Then, I took these terms I got in the box and put them together, and I got 25x^2+-5x+5x-1. I had to then simplify this equation. I added like terms.

In conclusion, the simplified form of (5x+1)(5x-1) is (25x^2-1).
