In the above right Angled triangle , we have ,

  • perpendicular = 12
  • base = 9
  • hypontenuse = ?

For finding hypontenuse use Pythagoras Theorem , we have ,

⇒ h² = p² + b²

⇒ h² = 9² + 12²

⇒ h² = 81 + 144

⇒ h² = 225

⇒ h = √225

⇒ h = ± 15

h = 15 [ Neglect -ve value ]

Therefore ,

  • cosθ = b/h = 9/15
  • sinθ = p/h = 12/15
  • tanθ = p/b = 12/9
  • cosecθ = h/p = 15/12
  • secθ = h/b = 15/9
  • cotθ = b/p = 9/12
