Two points on the lines are (0,3) and (1,0).

Now we must find the slope:


slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (3 - 0)/(0-1) =-3

Now after finding the slope which is -3, now let us put it into the point-slope form using the point (0,3) which is also on the line. You could also use (1,0) in this case, but I am using (0,3).


y-3 = -3(x-0)\\y=-3x +3

Thus the equation is
y=-3x +3
