Explanation:

The pythagorean theorem is the sum of the two legs squares equal the hypotenuse squared.

The hypotenuse is the longest side so 3.5 is our hypotenuse.

Apply formula to see of true.


{a}^(2) + {b}^(2) = {c}^(2)


{2.5}^(2) + {3}^(2) = {3.5}^(2)


6.25 + 9 = (3.5 {}^(2)) {?}


15.25 = 12.25 {?}

So it isn't a triangle since they aren't equal
