An original DNA sequence reads ATTCATGAC, and the mutated sequence

reads ATTCGTGAC. What type of mutation is this?

The type of mutation is Substitution.
It’s substitution because the letter or part of the sequence was replaced/changed with a different letter, (A was replaced with G in the sequence).
