The library has 157 chairs and 14 tables. If the same number of chairs is placed at each table, how

many chairs can be placed at each table? Will there be any extra chairs? If so, how many?

Answer:

total chair = 157 and total chair = 14 each table would have 18 chair and 5 chair would be extra

11 chairs at each table. (157/14 = 11.214...)

There will be 3 chairs left over. (14x11 = 154 157-154 = 3)
