45 = 1/2 (180 - x)

Cross multiply

45*2 = 180 - x

Let the angle o the same line with y be z. Hence;

z = 1/2(180+x)

z = 1/2(180+90)

z = 1/2 * 270

z = 135

Sum of angle on a straight line is 180 degrees

z + y = 180

135 + y = 180

y = 180 - 135

y = 45

Hence x = 90degrees and y = 45degrees
