f(x) = x2 + x - 10 replace every x with 3
f(3) = (3)2 + 3 - 10 now do order of operations
f(3) = 6 + 3 - 10
f(3) = -1
And the answer is -1

plug in -3 for x
the answer should be -6+-3-10
the answer is -19
