Movement are usually organized in most cases to show disapproval towards a proposed or laid down initiative or to make certain long time demand or right from one's leaders, employers or administrators.

A peaceful movement may be characterized as one which is devoid of bloodshed, vandalism, choas such that grievances and request are channeled legally to the appropriate quarters and authority. This is the direct opposite of violent movement which is always marred with choas and unnecessary blood bath and vandalism.
