Explanation:

basically you combine like terms on both sides of the division problem separately

which now becomes a^6b^3/a^-5 b^-2

then you divide which is just subtracting the exponents of like terms

a^(6--5) b^(3--2)

and then solve and you get the answer a^11 b^5
