22(0.05) = 1.1
You have to add this new amount of money to the old so 22+1.1

Answer:

Her new hourly wage would be $23.10

Explanation:

First you want to find out how much her raise now is in dollars:

0.05 x 22 = 1.10 (Turn the 5% into a decimal by moving the dot two places to the left)

Now add that to what she makes per hour:

1.10 + 22.00 = $23. 10
