One number is thirteen less than another. If their sum is increased by seven, the result is 86. Find the numbers

Explanation:

I worked this very much backwards, working the solution from the equals and then back.

x +y+7=86

The two numbers before adding 7 have to equal 79

What also needs to be done is keep times of 13 of multiples while also keeping 79 in mind. plug in which ever you find first then solve it by adding or subtracting on either side.
